This new data, along with previously published data and ab initio quantum calculations, are used to determine potential energy surfaces for HeCl2, NeCl2, and ArCl2 via multiproperty fits. The starting point of the fitting procedure was fitting a one-center Morse-spline-van der Waals potential to a set of ab initio points for each molecule.
Because the resulting ab initio potential is highly anisotropic, this fit required the use of up to nine anisotropy parameters, many more than could independently be fitted with experimental data alone. Therefore the ab initio potential was adjusted to fit the data by varying as few of the parameters as possible. The fit to the scattering data was carried out within the infinite order sudden approximation. The fits were also constrained by spectroscopically determined rotational constants and experimental dissociation energies except for HeCl2 for which no measurement of D0 is available.
These were calculated from the potentials via a J-dependent variational method. The ab initio surfaces can be brought into good accord with the data by an overall deepening of the potentials and a slight shift to shorter distances.
In the case of NeCl2, for which the best data is available, no changes in the anisotropy parameters were necessary to achieve an excellent fit. For HeCl2 and ArCl2 the fitting required slightly more adjustments, and there are more uncertainties inherent in the fitting method, but very good agreement is still achieved. The present multiproperty analysis confirms that the highly anisotropic ab initio surfaces, with similar well depths for the linear and perpendicular configurations, are consistent with the experimental data.
We believe that these are the best available surfaces for the ground states of these molecules, and that new data or much higher level calculations will be required to achieve significant improvements. Introduction impact on the methodology used to study molecular physics. Given the numerous studies that have investigated the Of course, fitting potentials is always a somewhat risky business behavior of halogen molecules in contact with noble gas atoms, since there is no unique fit, and any fit depends on the fitting it is surprising that there is still no agreement regarding even function that is chosen.
These issues are discussed in some the qualitative shape of the noble gas-halogen potential for detail. We start with a brief review of the type of data that is the ground electronic state. Within the last several years, a wide currently available on these systems.

Its bond, when analyzed using molecular orbital theory, is too unstable and not favored. Helium already has its outermost shell of electrons full and like the other noble gases, refuses to react. When a bond is formed between a noble gas and another element, it's usually one of the bigger noble gases and the compounds are not very stable.
Helium is a noble gas with a complete valence electron shell, and as such it is unreactive. As such, it does not form molecules with other elements, so there is no HeCl. On the other hand, hydrogen has only one valence electron and wants to lose it, while Cl requires one more electron for its valence shell.
Why is the molecule HCI known but the molecule HeCl is not known?
They are both highly reactive elements, and as such react with each other to form HCl. Trending News. Witness to executions hears haunting last words. Novel hot electron-emitting working electrodes and conventional counter electrodes were created by screen printing.
Thus, low-cost disposable electrode chips for bioaffinity assays were produced to replace our older expensive electrode chips manufactured by manufacturing techniques of electronics from silicon or on glass chips.
The present chips were created by printing as follows: i silver lines provided the electronic contacts, counter electrode and the bottom of the working electrode and counter electrode, ii the composite layer was printed on appropriate parts of the silver layer, and iii finally a hydrophobic ring was added to produce the electrochemical cell boundaries.
The applicability of these electrode chips in bioaffinity assays was demonstrated by an immunoassay of human C-reactive protein i using Tb III chelate label displaying long-lived hot electron-induced electrochemiluminescence HECL and ii now for the first time fluorescein isothiocyanate FITC was utilized as an a low-cost organic label displaying a short-lived HECL in a real-world bioaffinity assay.
Hot electron-induced electrochemiluminescence HECL is a method in which a variety of luminescent labels can be used in highly sensitive immunoassays on the basis of electrical excitation.
HECL utilizes hot electrons normally produced by tunnel emission from thin insulating film-coated cathodes [ 1234 ].

These added co-reactants generate oxidizing radicals upon one-electron reduction e. Thus, both extremely strong oxidants and reductants are produced, and normally one-electron redox reactions not obtainable occur and the excitation of several types of label compounds are enabled [ 49 ]. There are two major excitation routes: one usually being clearly dominant, and sometimes both excitation routes are almost equally significant, mostly depending on the lifetime and the redox properties of all the radical species involved in the system in aqueous solution.
Label luminophores can first be one-electron reduced by a presolvated hot or hydrated electron to a corresponding radical species Equation 1 and then the formed luminophore anion radical is one-electron oxidized back to its original oxidation state by a strong one-electron oxidant leaving the luminophore in its excited state Equation 2 [ 10 ].
The excited luminophore finally emits light Equation 5 [ 10 ]:. Various luminophores e. Some aromatic Tb III chelates exhibit high emission intensity and a relatively long luminescence lifetime which enables time-resolved detection and the use of materials generating relatively high background emission during cathodic excitation pulses in real-world assays, such as, oxide-covered aluminum electrodes.
However, when the aim is to develop more inexpensive immunoassay methods, the use of low-cost luminophores with a short luminescence lifetime should be considered.
Fluorescein isothiocyanate FITCis a photoluminescent label widely used in labeling different biomolecules due to the isothiocyanato group that couples with amino groups in protein and peptide chains [ 1920 ]. Present composite electrodes consist of conductive carbon particles and polymer as insulating material on a printed silver layer. The main advantage of these novel electrodes over traditional insulating thin-film covered electrodes is their insensitivity to composite layer thickness and composition of the film [ 9152122 ].Iva Burkertová (ODIVI) o radikální módě, životních zlomech a problémech s ponožkama
Compared to thin insulating film-coated electrode materials, such as aluminum or silicon, composite electrodes are found to have a more stable and reproducible HECL output in a wider pH range, and most importantly, without considerable background emission [ 152324 ]. Our research group has studied a few different composite electrode materials and found that the combination of i carbon black as a conductive material and ii polystyrene or ethyl cellulose as insulating binder materials is one of the best composite material to obtain a polymer layer doped with small conducting particles [ 1524 ].
Polystyrene is one of the most commonly used supportive substrate material in a wide variety of bioanalytical protocols, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and fluoroimmunoassays [ 15 ]. We have also studied cellulose derivatives to explore more environmentally friendly composite cathode materials and found ethyl cellulose to be a very suitable insulating material for composite film-coated cathodes [ 24 ].
The low material cost of these composite electrodes combined with the possibility of manufacturing them in mass with low technology methods e. In this study, we demonstrate the possibility to mass produce composite electrodes for electrochemiluminoimmunoassays ECLIA with an inexpensive screen printing method.
C-reactive protein CRP has been regarded as an early indicator of infectious or inflammatory conditions and as a universal biomarker for numerous diseases and disorders [ 2526 ].
Thus, it was selected as a model analyte to demonstrate the feasibility of our novel electrodes and label materials to ECLIA. Fluorescein isothiocyanate was used as an example of organic electrochemiluminescent labels. The composite solution mixture was first prepared. Polystyrene and ethyl cellulose-carbon black solutions were made in benzyl alcohol Acros Organics, Geel, Belgium whose volatility properties are suitable for screen printing.
The mass rations of these solutions were chosen based on the needed viscosity for screen printing. The schematic pictures of the electrodes are presented in Figure 1. The first layer acted as a counter electrode and also provided electrical contact for the composite ink layer.
The anode was screen printed with silver Ag ink grey. The cathode was screen printed with ethyl cellulose-carbon black EC-CB or polystyrene- carbon black PS-CB paste black on top of the Ag layer on working electrode areas. The hydrophobic ring was screen printed with dielectric paste blue. Dimensions are given in mm.

The week before Kurt Cobain was found dead from a single gunshot, he went missing. His whereabouts for that week has remained a mystery until now. But for the first time, the story of what Two South Africans set out to discover what happened to their unlikely musical hero, the mysterious s rock n roller, Rodriguez.

An authorized documentary on the late musician Kurt Cobainfrom his early days in Aberdeen, Washington to his success and downfall with the grunge band Nirvana. Some say that you're not a true rock and roll legend until you've had an extensive authorized documentary made about your legacy.
Just kidding, nobody says that. Kurt Cobain was a legend as soon as Nevermind hit record stores, and his legacy continues today, immortalized by Nirvana and the massive impact his genius had on punk rock. But not only was he one of the best rockers who ever lived, Kurt Cobain was one of the most extraordinary and misunderstood minds of his generation, whose own brilliance caused his self destruction.
He's a complex and intricate spider web of a person, and Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck goes on the deepest and most intimate exploration of this enigmatic genius that has ever been done. Montage of Heck chronicles Cobain's entire life, beginning with his parents meeting and Kurt's childhood, all the way up to his suicide in which is nothing more than a title card at an abrupt end of the film.
Don't think that this is a Nirvana documentary, or a Courtney Love documentary, or any other kind of documentary other than a Kurt Cobain documentary. Montage of Heck examining his relationship with his family, his lovers, his band, and Nirvana's massive following which played on Kurt as a blessing and a maddening curse. Montage of Heck is directed by Brett Morgen, the director of my personal favorite ESPN 30 for 30 episode, June 17th,a sports documentary that only uses news footage from one particular day in sports to tell its story.
Morgen employs similar techniques here. The amount of home video footage that exists of Cobain from his adolescence all the way through his relationship with Courtney Love which includes some pretty disturbing drug induced home videois astounding. Montage of Heck is brilliantly pieced together through this home video footage, interviews with people close to Kurt, audio recordings of Kurt and friends, and Kurt's own journal writings and drawings, gloriously animated in what makes for the most fascinating look into the mind of this troubled genius.
Some of the best parts of the film take us through his journals where his mad scientist scribbles and macabre H. Giger-esque drawings show us his reactions and feelings towards the band, their rising popularity, Courtney Love, etc. To call Montage of Heck an examination of Kurt Cobain would be doing a disservice to this great doc.
Montage of Heck is less of an examination and more of a journey, a violent yet graceful boat ride into the seas of one of rock and roll's most dynamic minds. It's a film that is as beautiful as it is brutal, and as sentimental as it is visceral. This is the most honest and in depth insight into a man who seemed to have everything, yet battled demons all his life to find what really could make him happy.
